We are over at Kirkus today for our regular column! It’s Thea’s turn this time with a review of Tehlor Kay Mejia’s debut YA novel, We Set The Dark On Fire.
A dystopian fable that is not too far away from today’s world (at least in terms of politics and wall-building), We Set The Dark On Fire is the story of a young woman named Dani who guards the desperate secret that she is from beyond Medio’s border wall–and how she becomes a spy. Featuring a love story between two young women, there are several good things to say about Mejia’s debut. Head over to Kirkus to get the full review.
