We are over at Kirkus today for our regular column! It’s Thea’s turn today, with a list–this time inspired by Kiersten White’s The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein.
Thea’s been a fan of Kiersten White’s since reading And I Darken–so it’s no surprise her take on Victor Frankenstein’s beloved, written from Elizabeth’s own point of view, is feminist, dark, and powerful af. Inspired by this retelling, Thea looks at other memorable takes on Frankenstein and his monster (such as Victor LaValle’s Destroyer, pictured above)–head over to Kirkus to get the full list.
