Hello, world! Welcome to the last two weeks before the end of the year (HOW DID THAT HAPPEN)!
Let’s dive into the good stuff, shall we?
The Little Homo Sapiens Scientist
Last week, we unveiled our second-ever limited edition chapbook sale–this year, The Little Homo Sapiens Scientist by S.L. Huang. We only have 50 of these for sale, and there are just a few more copies up for grabs! Get yours now, and we’ll ship before the holidays.
This Week on The Book Smugglers
Tomorrow, Thea kicks of the week with her review of Paper Girls Volume 2 over at Kirkus.
On Tuesday, we post a controversial essay from a previous Book Smugglers Quarterly Almanac: Mimi Mondall’s take on Harry Potter, “Characters Are Not A Coloring Book (Or, Why the Black Hermione is a Poor Apology for the Ingrained Racism of Harry Potter”).
Wednesday, Thea goes full nerd with a review of Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel by James Luceno, as well as some thoughts on the (SPECTACULAR OMG AMAZING HELL TO THE YES) film.
On Friday, we close out the week with Ana over at Kirkus; and on Saturday, Christmas Eve, we have a giveaway surprise for everyone.
As usual, the week will also be filled with some Smugglivus goodies–plenty of authors and best-of lists to come!
It’s a busy week, and until tomorrow, we remain…
