Hello everyone, and Happy Sunday! It’s October–how the heck did that happen? Let’s get to it, shall we?
The Quarterly Almanac
Last week, we celebrated the release of our second ever Quarterly Almanac. And, to kick it off in style, we are holding a giveaway for one print copy of the book! The giveaway is open until next Sunday. Go forth and enter NOW.
This Week on The Book Smugglers
On Monday, we kick off the week with two goodies: one essay from the aforementioned second Quarterly Almanac from Mimi Mondal about the inherent racism in Harry Potter. Also, Thea reviews the superb Strange Star by Emma Carroll, at long last.
Tuesday, we share a brand new short story set in the Extrahumans Union series: Winter’s Flight by Susan Jane Bigelow.
On Wednesday, we’re delighted to host our next installment of SFF in Conversation with Fran Wilde and Cindy Pon.
Thursday, Ana reviews Crosstalk by Connie Willis, plus we host the cover reveal for Laura Ruby’s new book, York.
Finally, on Friday Thea closes out the week at Kirkus with her review of Pretty Deadly volumes 1 and 2.
It’s another busy week! Until tomorrow, we remain…
