Hello everyone! Summer is – partially – here and we have tons of reading plans for July and August. Stay Tuned.
The Book Smugglers’ Quarterly Almanac – Giveaways:
The first volume of The Book Smugglers’ Quarterly Almanac is out now and we have two giveaways ongoing – one over at Goodreads and one through Amazon. Go forth and enter!
This Week on The Book Smugglers:
On Monday, John Chu stops by to talk about the inspirations and influences behind his short story “How to Piss Off a Failed Super-Soldier”…
Tuesday, we celebrate the release of “How To Piss Off a Failed Super-Soldier” by John Chu, the third story in our Year of the Superhero. You will be able to read the story for free on Tuesday but if you want to read it NOW, you can.
Wednesday, we are delighted to have Sarah Kuhn – author of the excellent Heroine Complex – over with a post about Inspirations and Influences (plus, a giveaway). Then, for Old School Wednesdays, Ana talks about Unreliable Narrators. You know who’s going to be there (spoiler: begins with Eu ends with Genides).
And on Thursday, Angela Slatter is here to talk about her novel Vigil…
Finally, on Friday we close out the week with Ana over at Kirkus. (Review TBD–probably The Sunlight Pilgrims, which is great so far, but we shall see how it goes…)
As always, we remain…
Recent events in the UK have made me gloomy so I went out for Book Therapy. Scully approves.
