Smugglers’ Stash & News

Hello everyone and Happy Sunday! Lots to cover today so let’s just dive in…

Halloween Week 2015

It’s an annual Book Smuggler tradition–every year, we celebrate the coolest holiday with a full week of horror-filled goodness. That’s right, it’s almost time for HALLOWEEN WEEK 2015!

We’ll have plenty of details to come, but this year you can count on a movie marathon that will involve Monster Squad, Halloween II, and possibly Insidious, as well as book reviews of horror novels for all ages, guest posts, and more.

OH, and we’re also celebrating this year with our publication of The Bridegroom by Amelia Mangan–the first Halloween Week short story we’ve ever published (and what we hope will continue to be an annual tradition for us).

This Week on The Book Smugglers:

We start off the week with a guest post from Sherri L. Smith as she talks about her new book, The Toymaker’s Apprentice–a middle grade fantastical novel based on the original inspiration for the Nutcracker Ballet.

On Tuesday we unveil the cover for our very first serial, The Case of the Little Bloody Slipper by Carlie St. George. This fall we are publishing three short stories–cases–in the Spindle City Mystery series. Starting on November 3, every four weeks you’ll get a new mystery starring Jimmy Prince and his resourceful sidekick Jack. We introduce the series and allow you to preorder the first story–so stay tuned.

Wednesday, we tackle The Battle of the Labyrinth–the fourth book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. We also have a little bit of information about Magnus Chase, the first book in a new series by Rick Riordan later in the day.

On Thursday, it’s Thea’s turn with her review of The Traitor Baru Cormorant by Seth Dickinson. (There are strong feels for this one. STRONG FEELS.)

And on Friday, we close out the week with Ana’s review of The Shadow Behind The Stars by Rebecca Hahn.

It’s a busy week! Until tomorrow, we remain…
