Around the Interwebs:
The dress thing – The Internets exploded on Thursday after a Tumblr user uploaded a picture of a dress and no one could agree on what colour said dress was. Half the world seems to see it as Gold and White, the other half Black and Blue. Wired had a pretty cool essay about the science behind why that is. For the record: both of us sees it as black and blue. How about you?
Goodbye Parks and Recreation – Not really a link to something online but we couldn’t let this pass without commenting. One of our favorite TV shows of all time came to a close this week after seven seasons of awesome. It’s hard to say goodbye to this cast of amazing characters and specially to leading lady Leslie Knope, played perfectly by Amy Poehler. Goodbye Parks and Rec, you will be missed. We have no idea how to fill this Pawnee-shaped hole in our hearts.
Thorns in My Throat: Writing Through the Scars – Shveta Thakrar’s wonderful essay over at The Toast is about being desi, about finding one’s voice, about fighting for diversity and why #weneeddiversebooks in all different ways.
Fangirl Happy Hour – Episode 4 is up!
The fourth episode was released last Tuesday 24: Ana and Renay talk about how cool by Elizabeth Bear is; how awesome Jupiter Ascending turned out to be (we love dogs, do you love dogs?) and how frustrating we find Agents of Shield to be.
Go to the link to download the episode “Bees Don’t Lie.” You can also follow them on itunes or add their feed fangirlhappyhour.com/feed/ to your preferred podcatcher.

March 1, 2015 at 3:43 pmI’ve been behind in my emails; just discovered that you’re reading The Dark is Rising. I love those books! I’ve read them all multiple times, and I’m always shocked that they aren’t more popular. They give me warm fuzzy feelings. Can’t wait to read all your reviews.

March 6, 2015 at 4:47 pmReally sad to see Parks & Rec finish. It was one of my favorite shows. I am glad that they ended it on a delightful note, rather than having those weird cliffhanger endings some shows have.
