Ana Grilo is a Brazilian who moved to the UK because of the weather. No, seriously. She works with translations in RL and hopes one day The Book Smugglers will be her day job. When she’s not here at The Book Smugglers, she is hogging our Twitter feed.
Thanks so much for these joyful reviews! I’m one of the editors at Plus One, and one of Roz’s editors on this series. I’ve got ARCs of the next volume, Resurrections, and would love to get one to you — either electronic or paper. Just ping me at jacqueline AT plusonepress dot com.
And, yep, Georgiana is indeed the Duchess of Devonshire. I’d strongly recommend Amanda Foreman’s 1998 biography of her (the movie made from that book a few years later, less strongly). She was an incredible woman, more than worthy of being swept up into the midst of Mara and Emma’s adventures.
