Happy Sunday, everyone!
Around Blogland:
Not much to report, except that dear Blossum (aka Katiebabs from Babbling About Books) is with Bubbles (aka Ana) in the UK right now, that lucky bitch! Apparently the two of them are getting along wonderfully, and will keep us all posted.
Also, we stumbled across this picture and just had to share.
Goonies never say die. (And Chunk looks NOTHING like Chunk)
And, in case you haven’t seen it:
This Week On The Book Smugglers:
Monday, Ana reviews Patrick Rothfuss’s sensation debut novel, The Name of the Wind. And she likes it. She likes it a LOT.
Tuesday, Thea reviews Natasha Mostert’s new novel Keeper of Light and Dust. Bonus, we also have a giveaway of the book, so make sure to stop by!
On Wednesday, Thea (finally) reviews Silent in the Sanctuary by Deanna Raybourn. For reals this time.
Plus, we’ll also bring you some of our favorite Star Trek moments in preparation for the new movie!
On Thursday, we’ll have a joint review of John Marco’s upcoming new Young Adult steampunk novel Starfinder.
And, closing out the week on Friday Ana reviews To Beguile A Beast by Elizabeth Hoyt.
And that’s it for now. Until next time (since, you know, Star Trek is upcoming)…

May 3, 2009 at 1:55 amOkay, am I completely blind and miss it or did y’all decide not to review Wolverine? I mean, I’ve heard it’s not great, but I’d love to hear your two cents on it. I love your movie reviews. 🙂

I am cracking up over that final pic of James T. Kirk in full-on Rage Mode. I love that part of the second movie…

May 3, 2009 at 5:26 amSo my husband borrowed and made me watch the Goonies last month because I’d never seen it (apparently I missed some things while living overseas and yet watched some more obscure 80s movies). I had some vague rememberances of part of it so maybe I did catch bits on TV. I think it held up the test of time – I enjoyed it a lot. Heh.

May 3, 2009 at 12:26 pmBridget – nope you didn’t miss it, we are supposed to have the Wolverine review up today…at some point 🙂 I’m working on it 😉
Karen – 😆 I love Kirk’s rage. When I get *really* angry sometimes, I bellow “KHAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!” as loud as I can.
So, who wants to have a Star Trek movie marathon with me before Friday?
Janicu – Well, better late than never right? Isn’t Goonies the best? It was a childhood staple go-to movie. That, Star Wars, Three Ninjas and anything with Jean Claude Van Damme or Steven Seagal. OH and Beauty and the Beast.
Kate – I have an itch to pop in Goonies as well 😉
Pidute – I’m still waiting on my ARC of KISS OF LIFE; but as soon as I get it, I’ll try to review it as soon as possible! Promise.
