Hello everybody and Happy New Year to all! Ana here, melting in the heat of Brazil, missing the cool weather of England (be back soon, lovely British Weather *hugs*).

For now, it is the end of Smugglivus! We had a lot of fun this year, as per usual (have you seen our Most Excellent Books of 2012? And our Airing of Grievances?), but we still have a couple of guests and then our official 5th Anniversary celebration before it is officially over.

This Week on The Book Smugglers:

Later today, we have our last guests of this year’s Smugglivus. Amy of Amy Reads, followed by Raych of Books I Done Read, who will officially end the festivities.

On Monday, we celebrate 5 GREAT years of Book Smuggling in grand style with a retrospective of FIVES! (Five fave books read since we started, 5 Firsts, and so on and so forth!).

Then on Tuesday, we are back to our regular scheduling with Thea’s review of Ordinary Magic by Caitlen Rubino-Bradway

On Wednesday, we take part on The Darkest Minds Blog Tour with an Inspirations & Influences post by Alexandra Bracken and our joint review of the book.

On Thursday, we host another awesome author: this time debut novelist Lenore Appelhans shows up to talk Level 2. Later in the day, we post Ana’s review of The Cadet of Tildor by Alex Lidell

Then on Friday, we are delighted to be hosting the US Smugglerific Cover reveal of Tom Pollock’s Glass Republic sequel to the most excellent The City’s Son. Over at Kirkus, Ana reviews a few 2012 short stories including the lovely The Kairos Mechanism by Kate Milford
