Hello everyone! Thea here, with power and internet from a decidedly less-watery Brooklyn. I hope everyone affected on the east coast is safe, dry, and faring well in Sandy’s aftermath.
Now that Halloween Week is officially over, we have some odds and ends to tie up.
Giveaway Winners:
We’ve got three giveaways to close out (remaining giveaway winners will be announced next week). The winner of The Friday Society by Adrienne Kress is:
Laura (Comment #73)
The winner of a copy of The Twelve by Justin Cronin is:
Suz Glo (Comment #7)
Finally, the winner of our Halloween Giveaway is:
Gaby Metivier (Comment #118)
Congratulations to the winners! You know the drill – send us an email (contact AT thebooksmugglers DOT com) with your snail mail address, and we’ll get your winnings out to you as soon as possible.
This Week on The Book Smugglers:
It’s a return to our regularly scheduled programming! On Monday, we are a stop on Moira Young’s Rebel Heart tour – one of Thea’s most highly anticipated novels of 2012 (Blood Red Road was one of her top 10 favorite books of 2011). We’ll have a post from the author (plus giveaway), followed by Thea’s review later in the day.
On Tuesday, Ana reviews 2011 Newbery Award winning novel Moon Over Manifest by Clare Vanderpool.
Wednesday, we host a stop for another of our most highly anticipated books of 2012 – Laini Taylor’s Days of Blood and Starlight (you’ll remember Daughter of Smoke and Bone was one of Ana’s Top 10 books of 2011). We’ll have a unique guest post from Laini, plus Ana’s review later in the day.
On Thursday, Thea is back with a review of another highly anticipated novel, fantasy YA title Jepp Who Defied the Stars by Katherine Marsh.
And, on Friday, we close out the week with Ana’s old school review of Dragon’s Bait by Vivian Vande Velde. Plus, Thea is over at Kirkus, with a review of Midnight City by J. Barton Mitchell.
It’s another busy week over at casa de Smugglers! Until tomorrow we remain…
