Hello everybody! I can’t believe the weekend is already almost gone – frankly, after the week we both had in RL and online, we are both in need of a break. ALAS, life goes on #dramatic.

2012 YA Readers Survey!

Teenreads.com is running their 2012 YA Reader Survey on Teenreads.com with a goal to hear from YA readers of all ages with their thoughts on what is happening in this genre:

We know that YA readers are not just teens any more, but we want to drill down to some specifics. Survey topics include questions about book buying habits, social media, as well as other forms of entertainment enjoyed by YA Readers.

It takes about 15 minutes to complete the survey and participants who complete the survey will be eligible to enter to win one of 450 YA books as a prize. We recommend you go forth and check it out – the findings should be really interesting and useful to understand who reads YA and what they want from the genre!

This Week on The Book Smugglers:

It is a busy week! Behold:

On Monday, we are delighted to be hosting A.S. King with a piece on Inspirations and Influences, followed by Ana’s review of the author’s new book Ask The Passengers

On Tuesday we host another Smugglerific Cover reveal – that of ANOTHER LITTLE PIECE, an upcoming Horror YA novel from debut author Kate Karyus Quinn. Then Ana posts a review of MG novel Small Change for Stuart by Lissa Evans.

On Wednesday, we join the Venom Blog Tour as Thea reviews Venom by Fiona Paul, a highly anticipated novel set in Renaissance Venice. Plus, we’ll have an exclusive excerpt from the book and a chance to win a copy of Venom.

Then on Thursday, we open the floor to a guest post from Midnight City‘s author J. Barton Mitchell and Ana follows it up with a review of Time-Travel self-published novel The Stillness of Time Travel by A.J. Maddicott.

Thea ends the week as we begin our official HALLOWEEN WEEK BONANZA! We kick off the Halloween festivities with a double feature review of Ty Drago’s The Undertakers books Rise of the Corpses and Queen of the Dead, followed by a guest post from the author. And more to come on what we have planned this year for Halloween to follow on Friday, too…

And that’s it from us today! Hope you all have a good week and as usual, we remain…
