Howdy everybody! Ana here, writing from NEW YORK! Hooray!
The Smugglers have assembled once more and together we shall brave the BEA Bloggers Conference tomorrow (where Thea is a panellist) and hit the floor of Book Expo America from Tuesday to Thursday. We hope to meet old and new friends, get loads of precious booksies and have tons of fun (although Thea has threatened to make me watch The Woman in Black. I do not understand the woman’s obsession with making me suffer through these scary movies. Alas, I shall endure).
Anyways, we might be gallivanting around NY this week but it’s business as usual here at The Book Smugglers:
Leah Cypess Giveaway:
The winner of a copy of Mistwood and a copy of Nightspell is…
Congratulations! You know the drill. Send us an email (contact AT thebooksmugglers DOT com) with your snail mail address and we’ll get your winnings out to you as soon as possible!
June Newsletter:
Because of our imminent BEA shenanigans, we decided to postpone sending our June Newsletter so that we can include information about the show, talk about some of the highly anticipated titles there as well as run the usual subscribers giveaway with a couple of special signed BEA titles.
So DO NOT PANIC if you don’t see the Newsletter in our inbox this week as expected – we will send it as soon as we can on the week starting on June 11.
And if you haven’t subscribed yet – well, why the heck now? This is the time to do it! See below:
If you have trouble using the signup form above, you can visit the form directly online HERE.
This Week on The Book Smugglers:
On Monday, we take part of the Dead Reckoning Blog Tour with Thea’s review of the book.
On Tuesday, Ana posts her review of Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin – and ponders about the books’ message (hint: it didn’t go down well).
On Wednesday, author Rachel Aaron drops by to talk Inspiration & Influences for her Legend of Eli Monpress series…
On Thursday, we are thrilled to have Lisa Shearin over for an interview, discussing the final volume in her Raine Benares series, All Spell Breaks Loose (plus a giveaway).
Finally, we end the week with Ana’s review of the MOST EXCELLENT The Boneshaker by Kate Milford.
Aaaand that’s it from us today! As usual, we remain…
