Giveaway: Wings & Spells by Aprilynne Pike
Laurel was mesmerized, staring at the pale things. They were terrifyingly beautiful—too beautiful for words.Laurel turned to the mirror again, her eyes on the hovering petals that floated beside her head. They looked almost like wings.
Laurel’s life is the very definition of normal . . . until the morning when she wakes up to discover a flower blooming from her back. As it turns out, nothing in Laurel’s life is what it seems. Now, with the help of an alluring faerie sentry who holds the key to her true past, Laurel must race to save her human family from the centuries-old faerie enemies who walk among them.
You can read the first sixty pages of the book online here:
“I can’t just storm in and proclaim my intentions. I can’t ‘steal’ you away. I just have to wait and hope that, someday, you’ll ask,” Tamani said.“And if I don’t?” Laurel said, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Then I guess I’ll be waiting forever.”
Although Laurel has come to accept her true identity as a faerie, she refuses to turn her back on her human life—and especially her boyfriend, David—to return to the faerie world.
But when she is summoned to Avalon, Laurel’s feelings for the charismatic faerie sentry Tamani are undeniable. She is forced to make a choice—a choice that could break her heart.
And, you can read the first sixty pages of Spells online here:

About Us
We are two completely obsessed, sad, sick addicts when it comes to books. Faced with threats and cynicisms from our significant others and because of the massive amounts of time and money we spend at Amazon.com, we resorted to getting books delivered to our offices and then smuggling them into our homes (in huge handbags) to avoid detection. Here we found a perfect outlet for our obsession! Reviews, recommendations, and other ponderings are our specialty.Sponsors

bells DOT franco AT gmail DOT com
I don’t know a lot about faeries but I did find the fey in Lament interesting.
I haven’t read these books yet, so I can’t declare a team, but my favorite fairy would be a close race between Holly Black’s Roiben and Melissa Marr’s Niall.
Well, I haven’t read either of these but after seeing so much of them both lately on the book blogs, I really would like to read them.
Um, favorite fairy/fey would be either Chap from the Noble Dead series or Genny from the Spellcrackers series.
I’m with MM’s Niall, but I also like my own Fae, Christopher, in my book that’s coming out in September.
My favorite fairy has always been Tinkerbell.
I’ve had these books on my TBB list for a while, so I can’t say what team I am.
Favorite fae though, hmm…I guess V’lane from KMM’s Fever series, or Doyle from the Merry Gentry series. If one can’t count my own WIP.
I haven’t read these yet, so no official team today.
As for my favorite, either Kosmo & Wanda from Fairly Odd Parents when I want a laugh or Kay from Holly Black’s series if you want a more serious answer. : )
Thanks for the giveaway!
I haven’t read these books, but my favorite fairy is Puck!!! Thanks for doing this giveaway!
Well…. I haven’t read these (but now I can find them at the library), but I like Oberon in Shakespeare’s play.
I havne’t read the books so I can’t pick a team. But I have always been partial to the Fairy Godmother. I wish she would drop by my house.
Katie
I like Ash from IronKing! This is a great contest!!!
My favorite Fairy has to be Jenks from Kim Harrisons Hollows series. (I think he was a fairy-it has been a while since I read that series-I am letting them stack up so I can read them in a run)
Thanks for the giveaway.
My favorite fairy is Applecore, from Tad Williams’ The War of the Flowers. Thanks for the giveaway!
I am so excited to read these books. I have not had the chance yet, so thanks for this great opportunity. My favorite fairy would have to be Merry or Doyle from the Merry Gentry series. I just love the passion, heart, and love they show to each other. Can’t wait to start on these!
Thanks again!
Thanks for the contest. I like Puck from The Iron King.
I haven’t read these books, but they sound interesting.
My fave fairy…hm, I would have to go with either Rhys or Doyle, from the Meredith Gentry series.
Puck, in all forms
I like puck from The Iron king and Toby from the October Daye Novels.

My favorite fairy is Puck from The Iron King.
Haven’t read them yet, but they look sooooo good!
I love Puck from Michael Buckley’s The Sisters Grimm books! He’s nuts.
I haven’t read these book yet so……Team Jenks!
I haven’t read these books, either…hmm. I’ve had them on my list for a while, though, especially with the new movie shaking up some more interest (Miley Cyrus – ugh!). Kay from Tithe would be my favorite fairy from literature. My favorite fairy of all time, though, is Tinker Bell! Aside from dying, she was pretty sweet.
I don’t really think this is much of a question: Tinker Bell. Der.
I have not read this series but wow it sounds amazing! And my favorite fairy is TinkerBell
Fairy … hm ….That’s a tough one …
I’d say Crysta from FernGully: The Last Rainforest
I Have Not Read Those Book But My Favorite Fairy Is Aislinn From The Wicked Lovely Series By Melissa Marr. You Just Get So Pulled Into Her Story That You Are Invested In How Everything Turns Out.
Ok my favorite fairy isn’t one that other people know. It is the Project Fairy. When my daughter was little she had so many projects she loved but there was no way we could keep them. We invented the Project Fairy to come and take her projects at night because the Project Fairy LOVES projects that little kids make. It worked really well!
These books sound great! My favorite fae is Tybalt from the October Daye series by Seanan McGuire.. he’s yummy!
I’m team David right now, but Spells may change things
I haven’t read these books yet but have been really wanting to! And I haven’t read a lot of fairy books either:( So I guess my favorite fairy would be Tinkerbell. Does she count?
Thanks for the giveaway!

I am totally team Tamani! And I still have to read Spells! I really hope he pulls through in the end.
I’ve not read these books but after Tinkerbell of course, my favorite fairy would be Keenan from Melissa Marr’s book “Wicked, Lovely”. That was my first clue that fairy’s weren’t are cute and glittery.

OOh great giveaway! I haven’t read either of these books yet, but really want to.
My favorite fairies of the moment are the ones from the book Eyes Like Stars, love her little friends, they are just hilarious
Thanks for the giveaway!
I was a fan of David in the first book, but from the excerpt I read of Spells, Tamani is gaining a lot of ground. So far I like book 2 better than Wings. I really want to read the rest of Spells!
I live on an Air Force Base in Turkey and can’t get ahold of this book here.
Great giveaway!
I haven’t read either book, but my favorite fairy is probably one of Melissa Marr’s (it’s been too long since I’ve read her books to remember a specific one, but I really liked her books).
I haven’t read these books yet, so I don’t have a favorite team yet. My favorite fairy to date, though, has to be Tinkerbell, but I have room for more!
Margay
Favorite fairy will always be Tinkerbell. She’s just so sassy
Sorry to say I have not read these yet, but Aprilynne, I so intend to. ASAP! Congrats on your success with the series!
So my favorite Faery has to come from a different series. I love Kim Harrison’s Jenks, personally.
And Bananach and Niall from Melissa Marr’s Wicked Lovely series.
I loved WINGS and was Team Tamani and can’t wait to see what happens in SPELLS
