Smuggler Get Together: Pictures!
As promised, and after about 2 hours struggling with the uploads, here are the pictures of our first ever Smuggler get-together! Warning: crazy dorkiness ensues. Continue at your own peril!
Of course, for our first ever in-person meeting, we HAD to both wear our Wonder Woman tees (this is us in the British Museum). And then, Ana took me to her favorite comic book store in the city…
…where we fought over The Killing Joke and subsequently drew a lot of weird glances from the good folks trying to shop.
Randomly, there was a Batman statue along the Thames. Naturally, we couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Again, more weird looks from the passersby.
Ana
This is in her kitchen–where we had a delectable feast cooked for us by The Anonymous Greek!
This is me!
After a couple of beers (glasses of wine for Ana) in Ana’s kitchen.
This one we took the next day at the University of Cambridge!
And now, the pièce de résistance: Book Smuggling in action:
And, a couple more pics of us together!
Needless to say–we had a GREAT time! I cannot wait for our next reunion…in sunny southern California! Right, Ana? No pressure.

About Us
We are two completely obsessed, sad, sick addicts when it comes to books. Faced with threats and cynicisms from our significant others and because of the massive amounts of time and money we spend at Amazon.com, we resorted to getting books delivered to our offices and then smuggling them into our homes (in huge handbags) to avoid detection. Here we found a perfect outlet for our obsession! Reviews, recommendations, and other ponderings are our specialty.Sponsors

My cheeks are immense.
: )
Great pictures!!
Good to see you both in person and together.
Hahah! Cool pictures, you look like you’re having so much fun!
What Rosario said! Great pics!
Thanks so much for sharing pictures. I love them! You two are like peas in a pod!
Oh, you guys, great photos! I love your comic book story fight. I wish I’d taken photos from our Chicago thing, because I love them so much on other people’s blogs. And wow, it looks like you guys had a great time.
And it’s lucky one of you didn’t turn out to be weird. Apparently both of you are weird!!
Love them! Thanks for sharing. I can’t believe you bumped into a Batman statue of all things!
Fun pictures, you two look great.
I should have slipped a little sth in the food, maybe that would have calmed you down a bit!The craziness, the screaming, the jumping up and down everytime you got excited over Hulk and lustful books covers….my poor greek head….still trying to recover!lol
I was wondering when you’d get round to posting these! Yay!!
So cool to see you guys. I love the Wonder Woman t-shirts… I have a new red one I love. *sigh* I really think I should be an honorary Book Smuggler.
Thanks girls! : )
CJ: LOL.
so pleased for two of you that you got together for megafun IRL. begs the question: how did you get together online? hard to smuggle in concert from opposite continents

Wow, a match made in heaven! Glad you had fun!
You two are too cute for words!
Did you do the Batman Kate grope the crotch move like I did?
hehe…great pics gals.
it looks like you had tons of fun…
Ana your cheeks are just fine
Awww, I miss you baby!
Kerry–thanks
It was the strangest, coolest thing finally meeting each other in-person. But not awkward at all (as my dear bf will attest to withour 3am Lost viewing parties and squealing over emails and Jack Faces)!
Rosario, oh yes–it was very, very fun. Did I mention that we ended up playing a drinking game with some expired Bailey’s? Yep–that much fun :p
Nalini, thank you!
Christine
It took me a while to finally upload these, but voila! Ana’s a sweetheart :p
CJ, oooh, yes next time you must remember the camera! I’m glad you had a great time in Chicago regardless
And yes, Ana and I are pretty damn weird. It’s funny, we’re like exact opposites (she’s tall and blonde, I’m the short brunette, she’s the sweetest, funniest person while I’m blunt and sarcastic, etc, etc, etc), but I think this is what makes us work as weirdos together!
Li
Dude, it was the randomest thing ever. Of COURSE we HAD to take a picture with the statue :p I think there’s a new movie museum or something…
Wendy, aww *blushes* thank you!
Dear Anonymous Greek! The food, oh the food! I miss you. You need to move into my kitchen. Now. (This weekend we went to the int’l food festival, and I couldn’t help but pig out on all the Greek food!)
Karen
Ooooh a red one? Nice! I agree, honorary Smuggler status granted
M. funny story–Ana and I are HUGE Lost dorks. We used to hang out on Lost forums all freaking day, theorizing, spoiler hunting, screen cap analyzing, the WHOLE shebang. We actually met in a Lost Forum, and have known each other for…two years now? Longer? And then we both realized we are crazy into reading, that we separately had to smuggle books home, and then Ana came up with the idea to start a blog! And….voila! Here we are
Heather
Oh we really are. My poor bf (who was the photographer for all these lovely pictures!).
Katie–LOL! I think Ana copped a feel. I saw her rubbing the batnipples. I was trying to steal his utility belt. You know…souvenier
Thrinidir
Thanks! I’m always jealous of the bloggers that live close to each other and can meet up regularly :p

And it’s nearly three years now dude.
Awww how fun! Thanks for sharing them with us. I love being able to put a face with the names. It looks like you had a great time. I hope I get to meet both of you sometime.
