Dearest Smuggler-Friends!
The end is here! After years and years of build up, the Harry Potter movie franchise comes to an end TODAY. Right now, we are equal parts unbearable excitement and devastated melancholy. The Harry Potter series – both the books and the movies – happens to be one of our favorites and for [...]
In recent years, the Superhero has been making it to the Silver Screen in a big way. Beyond just the usual Batman and Superman reboots, select lesser-known heroes have been getting their turn in the mainstream spotlight. This summer, four superhero films grace the screen, and, as fellow movie junkies and nerds, we decided to [...]
Hello everyone, and Happy Sunday!
Is anyone else enjoying a Game of Thrones finale party? Big props to HBO for doing such a great job with the first season adaptation of the novel. The question now becomes, what on earth do we do to fill the big ASoIaF-shaped [...]
Back in 2008, when we had our first Halloween Week, I had to be dragged – kicking and screaming -into taking part, because Halloween has always been a Thea thing and I was never into this Horror stuff. The second Halloween Week was a bit better – I was prepared for it, heck, even excited [...]

Last week we were left somewhat numbed and shocked by the unexpected news that Spider-Man 4 is no more, after both Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire left the movie and that the franchise is going to be re-booted! *gasp* *shock* *hyperventilation*. Ok, so what that Spidey 3 sucked huge donkey balls? Tobey Maguire IS [...]
Seeing as Ana and I met through LOST boards (we are ridiculous geeks), it should come as no shocker that both of us are huge couch potatoes. Television, movies, sports, you name it. So, given our advance stage of couch potato-ness, we have decided to enumerate our favorites of 2009!
We invite you to sit [...]
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best books of the year picked and listed and now we turn to Movies and TV shows. Thea and I are both major couch potatoes (and we even came up with a new feature last year, On The Book Tube with the Book Smugglers) so it should come as no [...]
About Us
We are two completely obsessed, sad, sick addicts when it comes to books. Faced with threats and cynicisms from our significant others and because of the massive amounts of time and money we spend at Amazon.com, we resorted to getting books delivered to our offices and then smuggling them into our homes (in huge handbags) to avoid detection. Here we found a perfect outlet for our obsession! Reviews, recommendations, and other ponderings are our specialty.Sponsors
