About Us
We are two completely obsessed, sad, sick addicts when it comes to books. Faced with threats and cynicisms from our significant others and because of the massive amounts of time and money we spend at Amazon.com, we resorted to getting books delivered to our offices and then smuggling them into our homes (in huge handbags) to avoid detection. Here we found a perfect outlet for our obsession! Reviews, recommendations, and other ponderings are our specialty.Sponsors

Hello, this is the first time I’ve been at your site and I like it. I would like to suggest a review of Any Ol’ Jack by Jack Dexter, its on Kindle and Nook and I think paperback? not sure about that. It’s changed my life and I knew if this JD guy got his name out, he’d help a load more people.
Dear Booksmugglers,
I am writing from the publishing house Jonathan Cape, which has released such graphic novel titels as Joe Sacco’s Palestine and Marjane Satrapi’s Persepolis. We would love to send you a review copy of Death Ray by Daniel Clowes and other Cape (graphic novel) titles, if this is something you’re interested in. All I need is an address to post them to!
My email address is ldessau@randomhouse.co.uk if you’d like to contact me directly
Many thanks,
Lily at Jonathan Cape

Hi – happened upon your site for the first time while googling Catherine Fisher. Always loved fantasy and fantasy with sci fi touches – but it used to embarrass me. Several years ago I realized how crazy that is – and have started tracking down great fantasy/sci fi. Since then I am discovering this whole new universe, how many others also love the genre(s), and how beautiful and profound many of these books are. I added a comment to the Relic giveaways but later wanted to add how great the Hunger Games trilogy is and also Nancy Farmer’s “The House of the Scorpion”. As I said, it’s a whole universe and your website seems to be a fun part of it. So, thanks
