Everyone loves a good bad boy – that is, the guy who is the cool, dangerous outsider, but secretly good at heart. Or maybe not so good at heart. Inspired by Angie’s fabulous post this week about the “Bad Boy” archetype, we decided to give a few of our favorites for this edition of [...]
It’s been a while since we’ve had one of these! But in honor of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and our upcoming Young Adult Appreciation Month, we thought it would be a good time to spark the tradition once more. (And yes, we will definitely try to have our joint review of HP6 tonight/early [...]
We haven’t had one of these in a while, so we decided to throw one up. Y’know. For Wolverine and all.
A few weeks ago, we stumbled across these covers over at Marvel.com. In celebration of Wolverine’s 35th anniversary, Marvel released a number of variant covers this month with depictions of Wolverine in the style [...]
As a girl that likes to occasionally play video games (I have a gamecube, an OG Xbox, a 360, and a Wii), sometimes I just want to kick back with a badass female character. Preferably a character that doesn’t prance around uselessly, or continue to get killed or kidnapped or whatever. I’m looking at YOU, [...]
Since a big production house horror movie is out this weekend (The Unborn) with another big budget horror flick out later this month (The Uninvited)…

There I was yesterday, minding my own business at work when out of their own accord my sneaky little fingers (bad, bad fingers) decided to open Internet Explorer and go the website of The Best Movie Magazine in the World AKA Empire Magazine. And lo and behold, there was a bunch of cool news [...]
In keeping with the holiday spirit (and since I’m in the mood for boxing with the Pavlik-Hopkins fight tonight), for this week’s ponderings…
Which classic monster would win in a Monster Mash Style Bar Brawl?

Real Name: Count Dracula (first name unknown)

For this week’s ponderings:

Rocky, Rocky II, Rocky III, [...]
Since we have recently polled for our favorite badass men (in movies), for this week’s ponderings:
Which badass chick is your favorite?
The Return of the King, Eowyn – “I am no man.”

About Us
We are two completely obsessed, sad, sick addicts when it comes to books. Faced with threats and cynicisms from our significant others and because of the massive amounts of time and money we spend at Amazon.com, we resorted to getting books delivered to our offices and then smuggling them into our homes (in huge handbags) to avoid detection. Here we found a perfect outlet for our obsession! Reviews, recommendations, and other ponderings are our specialty.Sponsors
