Hey folks! As it’s officially summer and we’re halfway through the year, we decided that it was high time to start keeping score – of our favorite books of the year, that is.
Without further ado, we present you with our Best of 2011 Lists – So Far.
Thea’s Best of 2011:

“On The Smugglers’ Radar” is a new feature for books that have caught our eye: books we heard of via other bloggers, directly from publishers, and/or from our regular incursions into the Amazon jungle. Thus, the Smugglers’ Radar was born. Because we want far more books than we can possibly buy or review (what [...]
Headline, the UK publisher of Stories, the anthology edited by Neil Gaiman and Al Sarrantonio, came up with a brilliant idea to celebrate the paperback release this month: they invited a bunch of bloggers, including us, to participate on a round robin short story. Each of us got to write 100 words, following up from [...]
If you tried visiting the blog over the past few days, you probably noticed that THERE WAS NO BLOG and freaked out.
We understand the feeling. Believe us. On Tuesday, our old server simply suspended our account without any notice because our blog was getting too much traffic and was making the entire [...]
As you may have heard, the last week of September each year represents annual Banned Books Week – a week in which we celebrate our rights to intellectual freedom.
Every year, hundreds of books are challenged and/or banned from classrooms and public libraries. In 2009, 460 [...]
It is day 4 of the BBAW 2010, and today’s suggested blogging topic is:
Forgotten Treasure
Sure we’ve all read about Freedom and Mockingjay but we likely have a book we wish would get more attention by book bloggers, whether it’s a forgotten classic or under marketed contemporary fiction. This is your chance to [...]

Unexpected Treasure
We invite you to share with us a book or genre you tried due to the influence of another blogger. What made you cave in to try something new and what was the experience like?

About Us
We are two completely obsessed, sad, sick addicts when it comes to books. Faced with threats and cynicisms from our significant others and because of the massive amounts of time and money we spend at Amazon.com, we resorted to getting books delivered to our offices and then smuggling them into our homes (in huge handbags) to avoid detection. Here we found a perfect outlet for our obsession! Reviews, recommendations, and other ponderings are our specialty.Sponsors
