Thea James is one half of the maniacal duo behind The Book Smugglers. She is Filipina-American, but grew up in Hawaii, Indonesia, and Japan. A full-time book nerd who works in publishing for her day job, Thea currently resides in Astoria, Queens with her partner and rambunctious cat. COOKING FOR WIZARDS, WARRIORS & DRAGONS (available August 31, 2021) is her first cookbook.

    I DNF’d this. Good to see I’m not the only one who found very little actually happening beyond the stylized prose–I sometimes worry I’m the only one who doesn’t “get” a book.

    And then they say a book cover isn’t important. I was scanning the books on this site and this one just stood out. It’s so important to have a cover that represents the quality of the book. Makes me instantly want to pick it up. Looks really cool.

    This is the type of book that would benefit a book trailer.
