Smugglers Stash

Smugglers’ Stash and News

Hello everybody! To those in the areas affected by Hurricane Irene – I hope you are all ok! I was very anxious overnight since Thea lives in the area as well!

Anyways, down to business!

Interrobang YA:

A group of YA bloggers, including some of our own favourites are getting together in a new venture called Interrobang YA. No particulars have been revealed yet but check out this cool teaser:

We can’t wait to learn more!

This Week on The Book Smugglers

On Monday, Thea reviews The Gray Wolf Throne the third book in one of her favourite series by Cinda Williams Chima, followed by a guest post by the author.

On Tuesday, Thea reviews The Magnificent 12 books by Michael Grant, followed by a guest post by Michael Grant.

On Wednesday, Ana reviews There is no Dog by Meg Rosoff, followed by an interview with Ms Rosoff.

On Thursday, Thea is back to review Lost Voices by Sarah Porter

Finally, on Friday we post our joint review of Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.

This is going to be a super busy week! Just the way we like.

I am . . . a bit flummoxed by the name of their group. My very recently defunct YA writing group had the same name. Explains why we’ve had a whole bunch of people subscribe lately despite not updating.

I am clearly, an idiot. It should be Interrobang YA not The Interrobangs! Phoebe, I wonder if I had your group in mind when I was writing this post. Apologies to you and to the Interrobang YA folks. Edited.

Oh, no problem at all, Ana! I think the name is confusing anyway (I’ve had people ask me if I’d started a vlogging group). If we were still active it would be more problematic. I just put a post up on our website directing people to the right place; hopefully that will quell any confusion!

Phoebe: I wondered whether there was some affiliation with your group. It IS a pretty exciting name.

And I attended the University of Awesome. How’s that for another astonishing coincidence? I double-majored in Gaming and All-night Inebriated Philosphizing!

Thanks for mentioning InterrobangYA. When we decided on a name (it was the fourth suggestion) I Googled relentlessly and saw nothing writing related, so sorry for any confusion.

I am so ready to read Ready Player One. I can’t wait to buy it!

Thanks for posting the teaser video! πŸ™‚

Also I’m so pumped for Ready Player One. I got a copy from Vine, but with the black and white cover that looks like a retro video game. It’s awesome looking.
