Smugglers Stash

Smugglers’ Stash and News

Friendly readers, Thea is away this weekend and usually when that happens, I take over and throw a party and go all EXTREME when writing the stash but ALAS, I have contracted the Flu of Doom and I feel like my nose is going to fall off my face and one should not write anything on this condition. True fact.

All I want to do is go back to bed and read. Maybe continue my Harry Potter marathon in preparation for the Last EVER movie (sobsobsob) so….this stash is going to be short and sweet. I do apologize.

This Week on The Book Smugglers:

On Monday, Ana reviews Luminous by debut author Dawn Metcalf as part of the book’s Blog Tour…

On Tuesday, it is another Blog Tour stop as Thea reviews The Lost Heiress by Catherine Fisher followed by an interview with the author.

On Wednesday, Thea reviews dystopian novel Divergent by Veronica Roth and Ana reviews Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma.

On Thursday, we post our joint review of Beauty Queens by Libba Bray.

On Friday, it is yet another joint review (we are on fire!), as we return to the words of Carlos Ruiz Zafon with his The Midnight Palace.

And finally (phew), on Saturday, we post our Half-Year Mark’s Most Excellent Books by examining what we read and loved thus far this year.

And that’s it from us today. As usual, we remain….

Can’t wait to read what you think of Divergent. I have a copy waiting on my shelf. People keep on saying it’s very good, but some friends and I are waiting for you guys to review it so we know what to expect. 🙂

I’m so excited about your reviews this week! I’ve heard a lot about Luminous but haven’t been convinced enough to want a copy. Perhaps your review will be the tipping point. And there is sooooo much hype surrounding Divergent that I’m really looking forward go what you guys have to say about it. Beauty Queens is sitting on the top of TBR pile right now . . . Looking forward to that review too.
