Great list Kristen - thank you! I have Corambis sitting by my bed (but I've made a deal with myself that I can't read it until I write a review of The Mirador :) I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you, Ana & Thea for introducing me to Sarah Monette's Doctrine of Labyrinths. It's without a doubt my favourite series of the year! I loves it :)

...read this dense 900-page-long novel [Kushiel's Dart]...

GULP! Did I or did I not challenge myself to read this next year. I am definitely mad!

And I too can't wait for the sequel to Wicked Gentlemen. Oh, and as for Ginn Hale's 10-part serial The Rifter - can't wait!! The excerpt has me so excited :)

Thea also put me onto Kushiel's Dart and I'm looking forward to reading it. Great post, I'm going to have look up some of these. Lips Touch has been on my maybe list for a while, and everyone's been raving about it.

Thanks for having me over again, Ana and Thea! It's always fun. :)

Tracey D. - I can't wait for the sequel either. Wicked Gentlemen was a great surprise since I hadn't even heard of it until very recently.

Veronica F. - Hope you enjoy Mercy Thompson! That was one of those series I kept hearing about but didn't pick up for quite a while, too. Once I did, I was so glad I did. Although Wicked Gentlemen is wonderful and is always tagged as steampunk, it's very light on the steampunk. But I hope you love it anyway! :)

Mihai - Thank you! :)

Ana - I am so glad you loved Lips Touch so much! It is a beautifully written, amazing book. I'm not really that surprised that you liked the first story a lot better than I did. It was just as well written as the others and even had my favorite passage in the whole book; it just wasn't for me as far as the actual story went. I think I was expecting it to be darker. Kizzy was great, though. I look forward to reading more of what you think if you review it!

Katiebabs - Wicked Gentlemen would make a wonderful movie. I can't wait for the sequel either and I'm very curious about the other series Hale is working on.

Angie - Thank you so much! I love your blog, too, so that means a lot coming from you. Fire was wonderful and I just finished Graceling last night, which was also very good. Transformation is the first book in a series by Carol Berg and it's my favorite so I'd recommend starting with that one. :)

I love Kristen's blog! It's one of my regular stops. I completely agree about FIRE and the Mercy Thompson books. And I've been toying around with giving Carol Berg's stuff a shot so you've encouraged me to do so in 2010. :)

Now I'm definitely gonna pick up the Mercy Thompson series. I've seen the covers everywhere but hadn't been moved enough to get it till today. Also, a friend just gave me Wicked Gentleman for Christmas b/c she heard I liked steampunk; what are the odds?!
exciting!
