I loved the first book, second was okay (to be fair, middle books are always difficult) and third, well, liked it well enough, but struggled with the ending. It was a bit too... epic for me. I agree the magic system and world-building is very original (and very different to Elantris, which I did like very much), but the one thing with Sanderson's writing is that I find it hard to connect with the characters. The romantic relationships never ring true to me, and with my romance reader roots, that's something which I need to believe in! I’ve been curious to find out what your thoughts were on this book!
