I must admit that I loved the Anna & Charles novels more than the Mercy Thompson books from the bat. For one I’m not too particular towards first person narration and for other the Alpha & Omega storyline is exactly what I was always looking for in Paranormal Romance (a genre I more or less gave up hope on).

My fave moment from the book:

“Anna stopped in front of the curb and he could feel her stress when the parking attendant came to take her keys from her. She hugged herself while Charles gave his name and handed the young man a tip for not looking taken aback by the battered Toyota.
He took their luggage, and, still watching Anna, who was looking down at her feet, refused help with them. She’d feel better without anyone serving them.”

I can’t wait to see how Charles and Anna’s relationship continues to grow. Nice review as always.

Looks like I’ll have to get this one soon. Cry Wolf was one of those books that fell into the “somewhat liked but was not crazy about” category for me (although I LOVE the Mercy series). It sounds like this one will be more to my taste, though. Thanks for the review!

I’m really excited to get this one and I’m glad (but not surprised) to hear all the great reviews its getting.

I tried reading the Anita Blake comics series but I couldn’t. The graphics were blah and I couldn’t stand that everyone had a big strand of hair in their face all the time.

I think that the Mercy series is getting a comic version done. Anyone heard about that?

Great review! I was so excited for you to review this book; I loved it! I actually loved it so much I went back after I was finished and re-read some parts. I love Anna; so sweet, you feel bad for her but again she isn’t playing that victim card. I love Charles; he is the right hand of doom but is still sweet to his wife. The twist story plot and the them were great…the cover was beautiful..so glad you gave it an 8!

And I agree, that Anita graphic is booorringgg and I hate that Anna and Anita look almost the same
