I read the book basically bacause i’m a big fan of rachel caine, they’re all really really good stories!! Thanks for the review, i was wondering which were series’, i was hoping to follow them. Sad that only all hallows was part of a series though!

I picked this up based on this review and damn! I’m glad I did. I’m glad to know that some of them are based around series, or that they are launches of series. The Thirteenth Step stayed with me for awhile… actually most of them are staying with me!

I find book trends so interesting. When Laurell Hamilton’s Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter came out in 1993, I remember thinking how unusual it was and what a great job she did in creating a world where vampires and wereanimals were not only citizens with rights, they were a part of everyday life. Now look at how far that notion has taken us. Personally, my favorite YA vampire book is Silver Kiss by Annette Curtis Klause which came out in 1990 well ahead of ahead of Anita. But anything that gets YA out of the Chick Lit popularity is fine with me.
