Nonsensical Weekend Poll
We haven’t had one of these in a while, so we decided to throw one up. Y’know. For Wolverine and all.
A few weeks ago, we stumbled across these covers over at Marvel.com. In celebration of Wolverine’s 35th anniversary, Marvel released a number of variant covers this month with depictions of Wolverine in the style of famous artists.
With that in mind, for this week’s ponderings we ask you:

About Us
We are two completely obsessed, sad, sick addicts when it comes to books. Faced with threats and cynicisms from our significant others and because of the massive amounts of time and money we spend at Amazon.com, we resorted to getting books delivered to our offices and then smuggling them into our homes (in huge handbags) to avoid detection. Here we found a perfect outlet for our obsession! Reviews, recommendations, and other ponderings are our specialty.Sponsors

10 One of the best books I have ever read9 Damn near perfection8 Excellent7 Very good6 Good, recommend with reservations5 Meh, take it or leave it4 Bad, but not without some merit3 Horrible, barely readable2 Complete waste of time1 One of the worst books I have ever read; I want my money (and a few hours of my life) back0 Did not finish

Hummmm, I love the first one: it is the most beautiful.
As for the “cool” factor I would have to with the Dali.
Tough call, I’m torn between the cave paiting (looks lovely and reminds of classic comic styles), Dali and Magritte.
Hmm, I don’t really get Magritte, I second the vote for Dali.
It is an intriguing re-imagining of his pictures.
Love the Edward Gorey one.
I love the Dali one followed by Edward Gorey one.
Wow that’s a tough one! They’re all really pretty good. I like the first one, the one in the Salvador Dali fashion, The Daredevil and the one with the umbrella. Other than that I can’t choose one.
Fun poll
Hmm, the Dali definitely stands out to me too, but I also like the Munch and the Van Gogh inspired covers. Basically, I love them all
I like the Munch. I want to give him a hug.
This is wonderful! I like Moon Knight!!
There ain’t nothing nonsensical about this poll, but man it’s difficult to choose!
*looking again*
*changing mind again*
gah! I think it’s the Secret Warriors one, closely followed by the Hulk one.
And I’ll stop now
OH this is fun !
I really like the Rene Magritte and Gustav Klimt one
Salvador Dali one, but that could be personnel preferense.
Magritte close second.
I love the Gorey one. So cute!
But as far as talent and wow factor, I’d go with the Dali.
How cool!
The cave painting is by far my fave.
I like Edvard Munch the best, followed by the cave drawing (so cute)!
How fun! My faves are the Magritte and Gorey versions, in that order!
Darn it, I didn’t realise that this is another one of Marvel’s infamous “Wolvie covers for the comics he doesn’t appear in” stunt so I wondered for a moment what that might mean.
I like the Munch and Magritte, but I really think the Japanese woodblock print-style one really pegged the style, spot-on, without directly copying a painting. Casting my vote for that one.
Hmm… I’m torn between the Gory and the Magritte for favorite, but I agree with Kate. The Japanese woodblock painting is style perfect.
