I think I’m going to have to pass on this one girls. There are enough of my favorite things that have been brutlized. Some things should just be left alone.
Thanks for the great and balanced review. Although not for me, there are plenty of readers who would probably enjoy this book.

I actually read Pride and Prejudice because I wanted to read this book so I don’t think I was nearly as invested as other fans were. But I’m with Thea–I loved it. Especially the random balls jokes. But I have an inner twelve-year-old boy, so… I think you absolutely have to read it with the idea that you’re not getting either a serious romance or a serious zombie story. I read it as AU crackfic, and it works really well as that.

I somewhat miss the wit of the original sentence here, but yeah, Zombies and Ninjas might be the incentive I needed to go beyond just watching the TV adaption and actually read it, guess I should keep an eye out for it when next time I visit the bookstore.

I crawled my way through Pride and Prejudice and fell into a deep coma like sleep after I was finished. I really wanted to like it, its a classic and all my friends LOVE it. Blah. Maybe zombies and ninjas are just the thing I need to re-visit this story. Great review!

Acutally the proposal scene is hilarious. She was just thinking about killing him then in he walks and proposes just the way we know. Then she hits him and they fight LOL.

I have zero interest in this book, but those excerpts are pretty funny.

Maybe if it did have more zombies, it would interest me more. And may I ask, what in the world is with these books lately that sound as if they’re a zombie-fest yet barely have any zombies in them? What up wit dat?

How’s the first marriage proposal scene? As Darcy is telling his heart and soul to Lizzie, does a flesh eating zombie pop out of a closet or the commode? LOL

I’m looking forward to reading this book. I really can’t tell from all the mixed reviews if I’ll like it or not. One thing… The excerpt on Amazon has lots of “Bennett” typos. I’m assuming these were corrected in the final version? They would drive me nuts.
