And can I take a little SQUEEEE moment - Emily Gee is a New Zealander :) Her father wrote one of my favourite books - Under The Mountain (which BTW is being made into a movie with Sam Neil). My library doesn't have it yet, but I'll keep an eye out for it. And point noted about it not being 'dark fantasy'...otherwise I would be comparing it to Melusine :) Oh, this does sounds good!
