Smugglers Stash
I am still trying to recover from my highly emotional reaction to Slumdog Millionaire which I finally watched just now (what a great feel good movie peeps) so this is going to be short and to the point:
Ready for another busy week?
This week on The Book Smugglers:

We kick off the week with a two-day Nalini Singh Celebration: On Monday we will post a joint review of the highly anticipated release Angels’ Blood by Nalini Singh. And on Tuesday we will publish an exclusive interview with Elena, the protagonist of the series! Wanna know everything about this kick-ass heroine? So be sure to stop by on Tuesday. Plus we will also be giving away a copy of Angels’ Blood.
This week would not be complete if we did not mention one of this year’s most important events in the SmugglersCalendar: the relase of The Watchmen, The Movie.

We decided to enter full celebration mode and get this party started so from Wednesday onwards we will have our Mini-Superhero-Special!
On Wednesday, Thea and I will completely geek out and discuss 5 questions pertinent to superheroes and their place in society. One word of caution: there will be blood. Possibly tears.

On Thursday, we invited a bunch of Really Cool Bloggers to guest blog for us and talk about what would their vigilante persona be.

On Friday, another pair of guests: authors Jackie Kessler and Caitlin Kittredge will talk about their upcoming release Black and White in which
Once best friends at an elite superhero training academy, Callie Bradford–code name Iridium–and Joannie Greene–code name Jet–are now
mortal enemies. Jet is a by-the-book hero, using her Shadow power to protect the citizens of New Chicago. Iridium, with her mastery of Light, runs the city’s underworld. For years the two have played a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
But now playtime’s over. A looming evil threatens both them and the world they share. As Jet works with a “normal” man who has an extraordinary ability to make her weak in the knees, Iridium teams with a mysterious vigilante called Taser. Both Jet and Iridium are convinced that the other woman is the key to a catastrophe of apocalyptic proportions.
And one of them is right.
The cool thing is that Jackie writes the POV of the superheroine and Caitlin the PO of the supervillainess…and they both think they are right. And they will not only be talking about their book but also will answer 5 questions we put forth to their characters – and they will answer them from the point of view of heroes and villains. AND THEY WILL BE GIVING AWAY AN ARC OF THEIR BOOK. How awesome is that?
Finally, on Saturday, Thea will be writing her review of The Watchmen with another one of her From the Page to the Screen.
So kids, enjoy the rest of your Sunday and please join us this week!

About Us
We are two completely obsessed, sad, sick addicts when it comes to books. Faced with threats and cynicisms from our significant others and because of the massive amounts of time and money we spend at Amazon.com, we resorted to getting books delivered to our offices and then smuggling them into our homes (in huge handbags) to avoid detection. Here we found a perfect outlet for our obsession! Reviews, recommendations, and other ponderings are our specialty.Sponsors
