Hey, I've got a question, why are you such a faggot?

I'm looking for an essay topic on google and all I come across is a piece of shit like you posting a review and your opinion on this book --- NO ONE CARES, GET A LIFE, GO HOME TO YOUR FAMILY ONCE IN A WHILE.

Sorry if I am being a bit rude --- aww, who am I kidding, I'm not sorry. But you can make me happy by taking this crappy site off of the web so that a future googler doesn't stumble upon a sorry ass excuse for a helpful blog.

Shannon--I completely understand where you are coming from. My politics align exactly with Doctorow's, but that doesn't change the uncomfortable fact that the book is a merely a vehicle for Doctorow's political message, masquerading as technothriller fiction. Had the political message been from the conservative end of the spectrum, I probably would not have been able to finish the book...which is pretty telling. :|

I'm reading this right now. I absolutely, 100 percent, agree with Doctorow's thesis, but am having a hard time getting past the fact that the author is so present in the book. I think I'd much rather this were nonfiction, instead of framed in a technothriller setting, because I could appreciate his thesis more, but I like my fiction to have fleshed-out characters who aren't right all the time.

Orannia--the technological aspects are very, very interesting, but granted aren't everyone's cup of tea (I'll admit once or twice my eyes kinda skimmed over a few explanation passages :P ). Still, it's pretty fascinating and I walked away from the book with a significantly greater understanding of internet security and technology. I'd recommend the book for that alone, if you ever see it in the library and are curious ;)

Thank you Thea! I'm not sure if I poorly befuddled brain could cope with all the technical aspects at the moment, but I will keep the book in mind :)
