I may have mentioned before how I used to read Elfquest comic books, or not lol. Can't remember. But I want to check out this one for the artwork alone because it does look absolutely gorgeous. Wendi Pini, the artist for Elfquest for years, did some extraordinary work too,one reason I got into the original series. Now I only wish our huge comic book store was still around. As usual, this area blows when it comes to anything cool like that.

Great review! For all the book's shortcomings, it still does sound interesting.

Very interesting, Ana. I have to agree that the artwork is simply gorgeous! And I like the Arthurian Legend set in the Wild West (or, er...Pacific Northwest). Very clever with the whole Caliber/Excalibur thing.

Too bad about the choppy writing and general preachiness though...that's the sort of thing that gets extremely tiresome, very quickly. I might pick up an issue just for the art though ;)
