Smugglers Weekly Stash
Happy Sunday! Another weekend comes to a close, and it’s time for another stash.
New Trailers:
(Yes, I know Ana posted it yesterday, but it’s so awesome)
All three trailers together (that last one has some additional footage not in the first two). What’s that smell you might ask? That’s Thea and Ana, who have just pooped their pants. The Watchmen film looks like it is going to be amazing.
The casting is pretty damn awesome, if you ask me. In other news, apparently “The Black Freighter” will not make it into the movie cut–but it will be offered as a separate animated dvd film when the movie hits screens in March, and will star Gerard Butler as the voice of the cursed, marauded main character.
Then, there’s of course Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Though Prisoner of Azkaban is probably my favorite of the all the books, Half-Blood Prince is probably my very close second favorite. This new trailer is totally toned down from this darker one, but still just as awesome:
Goosebumps.
This Week:
On Monday, I’ll review Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead–the third book in the Vampire Academy series…and the most devastating to date. Tuesday, Ana will take a look at To Seduce a Sinner by Elizabeth Hoyt. Check out the excerpt HERE.
On Friday, at long last, we will have a joint review of Neil Gaiman’s latest–The Graveyard Book!
Other Events:
The good ladies of The Book Binge and The Good, The Bad, and The Unread (aka TGTBTU) are combining dark forces to create a Thanksgiving special: Bingeaduckia!
The week-long event will feature guest bloggers (including yours truly!) talking about the romance book review community, contests, games, etc. Make sure to stop by check it out!
EDIT: Bingeaduckia has been moved to the first week of December…we’ll keep you posted on any further developments. Thanks again to The Book Bingers and TGTBTU–and we hope you are feeling better, Sybil!
And of course…there Smugglivus, looming on the horizon. Stay tuned!

About Us
We are two completely obsessed, sad, sick addicts when it comes to books. Faced with threats and cynicisms from our significant others and because of the massive amounts of time and money we spend at Amazon.com, we resorted to getting books delivered to our offices and then smuggling them into our homes (in huge handbags) to avoid detection. Here we found a perfect outlet for our obsession! Reviews, recommendations, and other ponderings are our specialty.Sponsors

10 One of the best books I have ever read9 Damn near perfection8 Excellent7 Very good6 Good, recommend with reservations5 Meh, take it or leave it4 Bad, but not without some merit3 Horrible, barely readable2 Complete waste of time1 One of the worst books I have ever read; I want my money (and a few hours of my life) back0 Did not finish

Ohhh, another fantastic week. Thank you Ana & Thea!
I'm looking forward to the Elizabeth Hoyt review, even if I'm a bit behind….waiting for me at the library is To Taste Temptation! How I'm managed to resist it until now, I'll never know
Due to my hospital stay we will be moving Bingeaduckia to the first week of Decemeber. I think… need to confirm with a few peeps and make sure all is still a go….
thanks
Thanks for sharing all of that with use. Those trailers were great and have me actually looking forward to seeing something in the movie theater.
I can’t wait for Watchmen either! All the trailers so far make it look terrific! I still haven’t read the comic – should probably do that before then.
I’m looking forward to reading your joint review of The Graveyard Book as well. It’s one of my favorite books of the year so far.
What’s cool about films these days is that you can go to the theatre (sometimes a big-ass IMAX) to watch the movie and then like, three weeks later (it feels that quick, anyway), you can buy the DVD and watch all the extras plus extended cuts, etc.
WATCHMEN in all of its forms is going to rock! Thanks for posting the trailers.
Orannia–happy to be of service :p
Sybil–Are you ok?? I hope you’re feeling better *hugs* I’ve edited the post to reflect the new date for Bingeaduckia. Take care hun.
Karin–no problemo! Seriously, I get the chills every time I watch the Watchmen trailers (especially the two with the Smashing Pumpkins song). Guh. When I saw the first trailer before The Dark Knight in the theater I nearly had a happy heart attack. (Dear bf thinks I am certifiably insane) Let’s hope that the films live up to their considerable hype!
Kristen–oh, you *must* read Watchmen. It’s truly mindblowing. Hmmm interested in a guest dare? :p
(And I have to agree with you on The Graveyard Book! But more on that later this week)
Heather–

LOL! Seriously. I was just watching Hellboy II last night thinking to myself–it really wasn’t that long ago that I was watching this in the theater. And oh, me likey! (Speaking of dvd releases–tomorrow is WALL-E! Woohoo!)
And yes. Watchmen is soooo going to rock. I have faith.

Dudes, I was eating lunch when I read that! I spat a bit, no not from disgust, but from the opened mouthed giggly-guffaws. You two never fail to entertain me. I know you’re both super excited about that.
I cannot wait for this movie – and it releases the day before my 31st barfday!! Yay for my barfday! Boo for it being the 31st one. I WILL be asking hubbster to take me as my pressie.
I have the graphic novel and hope to get it read way before then.
Thanks, I am feeling fine just under house arrest and hoping the neuro comes up with some answers next week…
