What i think will happen in the next book is that the Capitol will decide as payback for what Katniss did to make the age from 10-20 and, if there is a rule that says you cannot be entered in the hunger games more then once destroy that rule. "somehow" Katniss gets pulled again, possibly on purpouse from the Capitol. Then Gale, who by now has many names in the drawing, gets picked. That would make things interesting.

Thanks for all the great comments, everyone! I had a lot of fun doing this joint review with Thea.

Thea said to Angiegirl: Thanks for the rec again, I bought the book after seeing you announce a third party giveaway on your blog!

That's so funny. Because I bought the book after entering--and not winning-- that third party giveaway announced on Angie's blog, too! Also because of Jia's review on Dear Author.

I hope everyone else gets a chance to read this book. It was highly entertaining--my heart was pounding on every page for Kat. It very thought provoking, too. And I think it was extra enjoyable because it was YA in the sense that although it was a bit disturbing, it didn't go too far over the edge that it became depressing. I figured an author doesn't write a YA novel in a dystopian world without delivering a poignant but hopeful ending, right?

What a great, thoughtful discussion, you two. Especially the part on whether or not moral issues were fully explored. So interesting.

Oh, as a side note, I once saw Gary Busey in a movie where men were hunted and killed as game. He was like this Robert Bly type philosopher poet who ran the thing up in Alaska. It was pretty funny, but in bad way.

PS: Thea: I'm doing my part on the voting thing! Go ereader. Where's your widget?

Angie--oooh, another Team Gale fan in the house ;) We'll see how it goes in the next book--I definitely expect some nice romantic entanglements. Thanks for the rec again, I bought the book after seeing you announce a third party giveaway on your blog!

Alice--Oh you will really like The Hunger Games then! It's in the spirit of Battle Royale, but minus the gore and more...nightmarish aspects!

I'm gonna be devilish and tempt you--you will definitely enjoy this book. Give it a try!
