Ames–book 2 is next on the list! I am excited to get back into Georgina’s world, really, she’s awesome.

(And I was cringing through that whole initial bookstore scene–you KNOW what’s happening when it’s happening, and…guh!)

Christine–ahh the time factor. Sigh. I definitely recommend at least buying this one, and then letting it stare at you on the shelf, accusingly. :p

I can’t wait for the 3rd book. I thoroughly enjoyed 1 and 2. Seth and Georgina? Great couple. I can’t wait for your thoughts on book 2.

I love the scene when she’s serving Seth his coffee and she’s going on about stupid questions people ask authors. LOL And when she randomly picks up you-know-who in the bookstore.

Christine Yes, this one has a really nice blend of both elements (in fact, I have seen this book shelved in the “fiction”, “romance” AND “Science Fiction/Fantasy” sections at various bookstores–it’s a hard one to classify!). I would still say that this is more Urban Fantasy than Romance, but not by too much. I mean, she is a succubus after all, so there’s really no getting around the sex! (But even at that I felt the sex scenes weren’t OTT, or out of place, they made sense within the context of the story and Georgina’s character, so…works for me on both levels as an UF and Romance)

I don’t know if that helps at all! But I would highly recommend this book for fans of both genres.

I should probably add that I loved the conflict here–Georgina is technically a “bad guy”, but she’s a likeable character that you feel for as a reader. It’s testament to Ms. Mead’s characterizations that this actually *works*, in a big way.

I loved this one, too.

Christine, I would call it Urban Fantasy, with a romance thread through it. I’ve heard it labeled UF Chick-Lit (and the humorous bits might justify that) but there’s nothing shallow in the story at all.

Er, not that Chick Lit is always shallow — but the label sometimes gives the impression it’s all about shoes and handbags (like the blurb suggests.) Not so here.

You've completely sold me on this book, Thea. This is one of those books that I've been meaning to check out for quite some time and still haven't picked up. I recall reading a first chapter excerpt somewhere along the line and found the scene very amusing and well written.

Can you elaborate on the genre you labeled this novel?

Urban Fantasy, Paranormal Romance-ish

I assume this means it has more romance than the typical urban fantasy?
